With the Xbox One announced, Microsoft put an end to months of speculation about its next-generation gaming system. The product was unveiled at an event in Redmond, Washington. According to a report by Forbes on May 22, 2013, the Xbox One comes bundled with the Kinect 2.0 and has familiar looking controllers.



The first thing I noticed was that the controls seemed a bit off. The dragon I was controlling seemed a little bit floaty- then again, it is a dragon, right? You also have the ability to play on the Xbox One's new Kinect sensor bar if you choose but according to a Microsoft representative they wanted to give the consumer both options. Every time I asked a question I was greeted with the standard "It's a work in progress but everything is improving." This game was still very fun to play.

Speaking with GameInformer, Spencer shared that Microsoft wants to have enough stock that people will be able to walk into a store on launch day and purchase an xbox one. He continues to express that he wants parents who didn't pre-order an xbox one to be able to walk to a store and have a shot at buying a console.

With playstation 4 all of that goes away. Truthfully, being region free is more of a benefit for American and European gamers as there are a lot of games that are released for the Japanese market only that are very tantalizing. Of course, for the few Japanese gamers that like some American games their PS4s will play American and European games.

Microsoft made the announcement on their official blog and included another nugget for their fans. Yusuf Mehdi, the Vice President of Marketing, Strategy, and Business for Xbox announced that the CPU for the newest console will have a higher speed than originally claimed. The CPU power of this microsoft xbox one will now be 1.75 GHz. That's a 10 percent increase over the original specs.

I don't know many people who didn't play Mario Kart a few times as a kid. If your girlfriend liked to play game collection when she was younger, buy her Mario Kart Wii. Not only will it take her back to her youth, she will have a great time with the new version of the game. Buy two controllers if you want to race her, but don't pout if she wins.

Some of my friends wonder why I would want to play these old classic games on my new 3D capable hand held game system. And the answer from me is always quick and easy - the memories! There were a lot of great games that I played, games I grew up with so to speak. Something I could go to whenever I was bored and just wanted to play something for a little while.
